Starting
off from where we left it yesterday, let’s talk about the other three religions
I mentioned. Those religions being Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Islam is the
second largest religion to date with 1.5 billion adherents. The religion can
usually be found in Indonesia. the Middle East, and North Africa. The
Denominations of Islam are called the Shiites and the Sunnis. Their great
founder is a man named Muhammad who can be read about in their Holy Book called
the Quran/Koran. Muslims are Monotheistic and see their purpose in life as
serving and submitting to Allah. Now onto Hinduism. Hinduism has 1.1 billion
followers and can be found in India and Nepal. Their Holy Book/s are called the
Vedas which are eternal truths revealed to ancient sages and are composed in
verse form(song). Hindus have no distinct founder, it is a series of intellectual
or philosophical points of view rather than a rigid, strict set of beliefs and
it is also the oldest religion known to recorded history. Buddhism has 500
million to 1.5 billion adherents today. You can find this religion in Southeast
Asia, China, Nepal, and Japan. Their founder is a man by the name of Siddhartha
Gautama who came up with the Four Nobel Truths. He has also made the Eightfold
path. The denominations of Buddhists are the Tibetan, Zen, Theravada, and Amidst.
