The 5 Major Religions of the World
For the last two days in our Human Geography class we have been going over the top five religions in the world. These five religions are called Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. Out of the whole world, Christianity is by far the largest. It makes up thirty-three percent of the world religion. The second largest religion in the world is Islam, which makes up twenty-one percent of the worlds religion. Hinduism comes fourth (none religious in third with 16 percent of people) with fourteen percent of the population. Buddhism for fifth is tied with two other religions/traditions all being six percent of the population in the world. The other major religion is Judaism which has a percentage of 0.22 which would be higher if there was no Holocaust. If there was no Holocaust there would be more Jews and those people would have had more offspring which would then help their population and religion grow.
