1. When I was looking at Greenland on the physical map of North America. It looked as if it was the Mercaders map they were using. I found this interesting because you would think the CIA would want the world map to be accurate. This relates to what we were talking about in class. It relates to when we talked about map distortion and the whole class immediately thought their life is a lie.
2. I went onto the population segment of the website and found China and India have over a billion people populating the two countries. The thing is these countries are both poor and aren't very clean. This relates to what we talked about in class when we discussed population. The countries that can't afford to many people usually have more people than they can afford.
3. Nigeria has had 160,000 AIDS deaths in 2016. This relates to conversation in class. We discussed that other countries don't have as good of a medical treatment than others. This results in more deaths that could have been prevented if they had enough medical treatment.
4. 36% of American citizens are obese. This was also a topic of conversation in a class. The amount of people who eat when they are bored is a lot, the portion sizes are very large compared to other countries as well.
5. 3.90 of U.S. individuals out of 1,000 are migrants. We discussed this in class a few days ago. We talked about how the U.S. population is still rising when the fertility rate is only 2.01.
