Maps and Time Zones
I will be honest here. I did kind of enjoy today's class buuuuuutttttt... towards the end I found myself kind-of drifting of and daydreaming a little. I found myself wondering what the time is and when will class be over. But in my defense for that last part, I am obsessed to know the time and when I don't know it or can't see it, it drives me absolutely crazy. Today we talked more about maps and how they will never be perfect. But changing the topic (Thankfully) to the different time zones. I find it kind of interesting that people thought it made more sense to make absolute midnight and mid-day 12:00. Also, when it hits 12:00 at night, those three hands signal the start of the next day, from Tuesday to Wednesday. Doesn't it make more sense to make 1:00 the start of the next day... or the opposite. Well... it apparently made sense to civilization back then and we have all grown up with the way it is so I'm fine with it and so are a lot of other people.
