More on Religion Class Assignment

Christianity was Founded right after the death of Christ, the son of God. His birth does vary over different historian accounts but most people say he was born somewhere between 7-2 B.C. Historians say he died somewhere in his thirties. He was crucified and he had risen into heaven three days later. After his death Christianity had really kicked of and his followers went to spread the religion elsewhere like Rome and Asia. Many people think that Jesus was not trying to start a new religion and that he was a Judaism follower. Approximately, Christianity has 2.2 billion adherents and it is the largest religion in the world.
Islam was supposedly founded in the seventh century which was about six hundred years after the founding of Christianity. Their founder is guy named Muhammad. Historians say his birth was the twenty second of April, 571 A.D. His death day was on June eighth, 632 A.D. Historians say his death was the effect of a deadly fever. Islam has about 1.5 billion adherents making it the second largest religion in the world.
Hinduism comes in the third largest religion spot with roughly 1.1 billion followers. Hindus have no distinct founder. Hinduism is generally a series of intellectual or philosophical points of view. Reincarnation would be an example of a belief of Hinduism. Hinduism was founded right around 5500 B.C. which is the oldest evidence Historians can find.
Buddhism is slightly confusing when it comes to it's number of adherents. It is either in the second largest religion spot or the fourth largest religion spot for having somewhere between 500 mil. to 1.5 billion followers. The founder of Buddhism was a very wealthy young man who lived in his fathers palace his whole life, he never was allowed to leave. One day he decided to sneak out to see what the rest of the world was like, he was shocked to learn that most of the surrounding towns/villages where very poor and dirty. After learning this, he stormed back to his fathers palace and shouted at him at why he was not allowed to know what was happening in the world around him. He then left and created the four noble truths. This man was named Siddhartha Gautama. historians are still not sure on how he died.
Judaism comes in the ninth position with a number of 14-18 million adherents. This religion would have more residents but due to the holocaust and other events many have have died and those people would have had kids and their kids would have kids and the process would repeat over and over. Their founder was a man named Abraham and he still pretty important for Christians. They believe in the Ten Commandments and the 13 Principles of Faith.
